Dr. Ivana Nikolić Hughes, President of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, have been appointed by the Republic of the Marshall Islands to serve on an Environmental Experts Group supporting the country’s Changed Circumstances Petition related to the legacy of U.S. nuclear testing.
Appointed by President H.E. Dr. Hilda Heine and the RMI Cabinet, the group will provide independent scientific expertise to help ensure the petition is backed by rigorous environmental and radiological analysis. The initiative reflects ongoing international efforts to address the long-term health, environmental, and justice implications of nuclear weapons testing in the Marshall Islands.
